Whole Foods Hot Cocoa
Once December hits you can catch me wanting a warm mug of cocoa just about any day.
But, I don’t always want the processed sugar, especially when it’s coming at us from all angles this time of year.
I have a big sweet tooth and especially around the holidays love enjoying all the home baked goodies. But, I don’t always love how it makes me feel and have noticed that as I get older my tolerance to it has gotten worse and I feel the effects more drastically.
Here is a tasty treat you can enjoy without worrying that it will make you feel inflamed, puffy or tired.
Recipe:
8 oz warm milk or milk alternative of your choice
1 TBSP cocao powder
1 TBSP maple syrup
Bonus electrolytes: 1/3 packet LMNT chocolate salt
Combine ingredients in a mug with whisk or frother
